Thanks for your reply. I actually didn't make myself clear. The total time is 44 days. The first test was at 28 days and the second was a home test at 44 days. Like all Moms I don't want to believe that he has smoked marijuana since here but that is always a possibility.

I reality to give positive 4 weeks and 44 days after it means that he had some recent use of the specific drug that he came positive. You can go to the lab and ask for a specific confirmation test for drugs using the Tecnology of GC/MS and they will quantify and specify the drug used.

My son recently moved in with me and is trying hard to find a job. He got a good job, went to work for 4 days and then was called that his screening (urine) test was positive. I assume that they did the second lab test but because on the day of the test, the lab notified the employment office that the test was negative. It had been exactly 4 weeks since he used.

It has now been 44 days and he ran positive on a home test today. He is 34, 6'4" tall and in good health except for smoking.

Do you have any ideas about this? Is it that he will just have to keep testing until it is negative? Apparently the first test was negative but they did the lab and it was positive. Are there other things that we can check out if this does not clear soon?
